Since December 20, 2005 the Matteson.us website has been owned and maintained by Ken Matteson, 6th great grandson of Henry and Hannah (Parsons) Matteson.

This website was first created on June 27, 2002 by Betty (Matteson) Rhodes after maintaining several earlier sites on family genealogy. Betty started working on family genealogy in 1986 - later creating small webpages on various free sites, the most extensive prior to this site being, "Betty's Master Genealogical Index".

The Group Administer of The Matteson Surname Project is Rbeda Coffey - rbeda@sbcglobal.net. DNA testing is provided by FamilyTreeDNA.

Nearly all Mattesons in America can trace their heritage back to Henry and Hannah (Parsons) Matteson of Rhode Island. This website is intended for the sharing of both historical and genealogical information for their descendants.
