Laban Matteson to Obed Hall
Dated December 9, 1851

Know all men by these presents that Laban N. Matteson & Clarrisa
Matteson wife of the said Laban N. Matteson of Stamford in the county
Of Bennington and State of Vermont for the consideration of seven hundred
Dollars and 00 cents received to our full satisfaction of Obed Hall of
Stamford in the county of Bennington and State of Vermont have [remised?]
And released, and by these presents do remise and quit claim to Obed Hall
His heirs and assigns forever, all our right, title, interest, or demand in [or?]
Unto the following described real estate situated in Stamford aforesaid
Viz- all the land with the buildings thatI bought of said Hall by deed
Bearing date February 19,1849 to which deed reference may be had
For a more particular description being a house, barn, & blacksmith
Shop, standing thereon, together with all the tools belonging to me
In said shop.
To have and to hold the above remised and quit-claimed premises
With the appurtenances thereof, unto the said Obed Hall his heirs and
Assigns forever,to this & their own proper use, benefit and behoof, so that
We shall not have any right, demand or challenge to the above quit-
Claimed premises, or the appurtenances thereof, but from all and every
Claim and demand, we and our heirs, executors, administrators, and
Assigns, shall be precluded and debarred.
In witness whereof, we have hereunto set our hands and seals this
9, day of December A.D. 1851

Personally appeared Laban N. Matteson the signer and sealer of the
Above written instrument, and acknowledged the same to be his free act
And deed, before me, William S. Brooks justice of the Peace
State of Vermont          Stamford Dec 9. 1851
Bennington County FF   Personally appeared Clarrisa Matteson one of the
Signers of the above written instrument & wife of the said Laban N.
Matteson the other signer thereof who being by me examined seperately
And apart from her said Husband acknowledged that she executed the
