Stukley and Maplet Matteson to son Russell
Dated June 25, 1812

Know all men by these presents that I Stukley Matteson
of West Greenwich in the County of Kent and State of Rhodeis
-land (symbol) Yeoman in the Consideration of the Sum of ten
Dollars to me in hand paid by Russel Matteson of Coventry
in the County and State above said Yeoman the Receipt
Whereof I do hereby Acknowledge have Remised Released
and forever Quitclaimed and do by these presents Remise
Release and Quitclaim unto the Said Russell
Matteson his heirs and Assigns forever, all the Land
that lyeth to the Northard of the Partition Line now
agreed to by the said Stukley Matteson and Russell
Matteson VIZ To Begin at a Small Black oak Tree
Standing about Ten Rods South of the Northwest Corner
of Benjamin Woods Land with Stones around it from
Thence Westerly till it comes to James Batteys Land
to a Small White oak Tree with Stones around it the
abovesaid Land lying and being partly in West Green
-wich and partly in Coventry. To Have and to hold the
Same Together with all the Priveleges and appurtances
theseunto belonging to him the Said Russel Matteson
his heirs and assigns forever, And Maplet Matteson
Wife of the Said Stukley Matteson for the consideration
above Mentioned do Give up and Surrender unto him
the said Russel Matteson his heirs and assigns all
my Right of Dower and power of thirds of in and unto
all of the afore Granted and bargained premises In Witness
Where of we have here unto Set our hands affixed our
Seals this 25th day of June and in the Year 1812,
